1.网上提交

这是指推荐人通过填写网络问卷，并上传电子版推荐信的方式完成推荐信的投递。

网推流程：申请人填写网申的时候，其中包括填写推荐人的个人信息以及联系方式(电子邮箱以及联系电话)，联系电话可选择性填写，但电子邮箱则必须填写;填写完毕后，学校的网申系统就会自动发送网推邮件到推荐人的邮箱，邮件的内容中包括网推系统的页面链接，登录?用户名以及密码，推荐人便可登录网推系统，填写推荐信息，并上传电子版推荐信，确认后Submit即可。

推荐人在网上提交的推荐信问题一般都比较简单，主要是询问和申请人认识的时间长短，以及是以何种身份认识的，对申请人的评价等等。

2.纸质版提交

尽管网推比较方便，但确实存在少部分学校是不允许网推，而只能纸推的。

纸推是最原始的推荐方式，推荐人需把推荐信打印，并且手写签名；此外，学校也有特定的推荐信表格，申请人需下载并打印表格让推荐人填写，手写签名后连同推荐信一起合放在同一个信封内，密封并在封口处签名。推荐信连同其它申请材料一同寄送到外国院校进行审核。

3.需要提前准备的推荐信纸和信封

需要准备学校信封和信纸，主要是用于纸质版推荐信(纸推)方面。信纸一般准备一叠信纸就足够用了了。

需要准备的学校信封则有两种，一是小信封(用于装推荐信)，大概每个老师准备5-6封，3个推荐人加起来一共准备20个即可确保够用。

二是能装得下A4纸的大信封(用于打包所有的邮寄材料)。这种大信封有些学校有，有些学校没有。如果有的话，准备的数量和成绩单同等(或者后期的申请学校数量+多准备5个左右)，如果没有也不要紧，用普通的牛皮纸大信封代替也可。

留学推荐信的结构

推荐信的结构形式是比较统一的，尤其是开头和结尾两段大概表现的意思基本上是一样的。

第一段首先应该介绍一下推荐人与申请人的关系，在什么情况下认识，相识多久；并且应该明确在第一段中表现出推荐人非常愿意推荐申请人到这个学校就读。

第二段就是推荐人对申请人的评估情况，也可以表现一下推荐人为何对申请人印象深刻，然后举例证实一下推荐人对于申请人的评估结构。如果所表达的东西比较多，这一部分也可以分为两段来写。

第三段内容主要是对申请人特质的一些概括，或者是推荐人认为申请人在这个专业以后的发展潜力做一下描述，还可写一些对学校评审委员的感谢之类的话。
